STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM
The student mentoring program aims to promote school connectedness, engagement and aspirations for disadvantaged children and students.
The indian model school is developing its new or expand existing mentoring programs for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through the grants, mentors will work with children and young people to increase their engagement in learning, build self-confidence, set goals and improve understanding of post-school options.
Times mentors on supporting Indigenous students, students in out-of-home care, or those from low socio-economic or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Programs also aim to align with the Framework for Improving Student Outcomes.
The first round of the program is started with 50 mentoring Connectivity.Students, mentors and teachers reported improved student attitudes, behaviour and resilience, and built strong pathways to further learning and employment.
Framework for students
The Times mentor framework for Improving Student Outcomes has been developed to help us work together to dramatically increase the focus on student learning in schools.
The framework will help schools to focus their efforts on key areas that are known to have the greatest impact on school improvement. Principals, school leaders, teachers, students, parents, regional staff and policy-makers can work together to create better outcomes for our students.
